Single and searching for a place to hang out to meet great people? Since there is not a whole lot to do in Milwaukee but hang out at the bar, I have put together a short list of some of Milwaukee’s best local drinking establishments. These are catered towards the single crowd, so best of luck in your dating endeavors. From what I have found, most of the best bars to meet singles and do a little casual dating can be found on Water Street. You can go from bar to bar since they are located close together, or you can meet up with your single friends and enjoy a couple of social activities and events found outside on the street. These establishments are specifically catered to the college and 20’s to 30 something single crowds.
Grant’s Pub

Grant’s Pub offers a nice blend of live music and cheap drinks. The Pub has a casual feel and is very welcoming to the single crowd. Grant’s is a nice place to hang out with friends and an even better place to meet other single people. Grant’s is not a very big establishment. You will definitely feel cozy here. This is a benefit when you want to get close to the people you are trying to hook up with. The single men and women you will meet here are not the typical crowd – everyone is very laid back and easy to talk to… a plus when just entering into the dating scene.
Brother’s Bar & Grill

Brother’s Bar caters to the college crowd. This place is always packed with excellent choices for dating material. A popular hangout for UVM students, Brother’s Bar & Grill offers up inexpensive drinks, pool tables and dart boards to keep you and your single friends entertained. The atmosphere is set for the 20’s to 30’s age group, so you are sure to find someone to share common interests with. Whether you are looking to meet the single college student, or cool and casual professional, be sure to keep Brother’s Bar & Grill on your list of stops any night of the week.
AJ Bombers
1247 N. Water Street
AJ Bombers is a great place to hang out with friends and to meet others. AJ’s offers a variety of food and fun – perfect for a first date or an evening out with friends. The food and service are fantastic. One of the fan favorites is the peanut delivery. Just make sure to cover your date’s drink if you get peanuts sent to your table. When looking to impress your date, but stay within a reasonable budget, definitely head over to AJ Bombers.
